Accurate sub-domain model for magnetic field computation in electrical machines with HTS materials

The primary aim of this study was to develop and validate an accurate sub-domain analytical model estimate the magnetic field electric machines with high-temperature superconducting (HTS) excitation armature windings. developed by utilizing separation variable harmonic analysis methods solve Laplace’s or Poisson’s equations vector potential in two-dimensional polar coordinates. theoretical derivations final for flux density distribution air-gap permanent magnets, electromagnetic torque, no-load back-electromotive force (back-EMF) are explained detail. Finally, potential, each sub-domain, back-EMF, inductive reactance winding were solved considering critical parameters materials, influence higher harmonics. finite-element method (FEM) used accuracy investigated HTS generator. results show is time-saving.
